The Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition is located in shared facilities on the UM campus and in a new FDA building located in College Park. The location is just 9 miles from downtown Washington, D.C., and approximately 30 miles from both Baltimore and Annapolis. It is accessible by the METRO subway system and bus routes, as well as the MARC commuter train.
